Class Structure

Classes are held over five weeks, each session lasting just over an hour. They are relaxing and fun, kept to small groups, and taught in a friendly atmosphere.

The massage sequence is taught a little each week for easy learning and for your baby to get used to being massaged.  I demonstrate all strokes on a doll.

Each week the new strokes are taught first and then the previous ones reviewed, leading to a full body massage in week 5.

The strokes are based on the guidelines given by the International Association of Infant Massage.
They incorporate strokes from Indian and Swedish massage, Reflexology and yoga- type movements.

A special colic routine is also demonstrated and information, ideas and discussions are all part of the class structure, adapted to the individuals present.

What do I need to bring?

I provide all handouts for the strokes and oil for massage.

You just need to bring a cushioned changing mat, towel for lying baby on and usual necessities for your baby ie; nappies, milk etc. (babies’ can get thirsty after a massage).

Wear comfortable, casual clothes as we will be sitting on the floor with cushions and mats!

Where are the classes held?

Classes can be held in a person’s home in a group setting (minimum of 4 needed, or private instruction can also be catered for).

Classes are also held at St Luke’s Church, Huntington, Chester,

and Llay Resource Centre, Llay, Wrexham. (minimum of 6 needed).

Times and days are flexible to suit the group.

Cost of course

For the 5 week course per person:

Fees are due 2 weeks prior to the 1st session and are non- refundable.
Booking is essential.
